Are You Eating All Your Colours?
Most of us have heard we need to eat our colours, but how many of us are actually doing it?? Well let’s shake it up and get colourful!
It’s so important to get plenty of variety in our diets so that we can take advantage of all the thousands upon thousands of different nutrients; vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, phytochemicals, that nature provided to nourish us fully so we can be vibrant and healthy.
New nutrients are still being found today, and we can only wonder just how many amazing properties of plants there are still to discover. Each and every plant food contains completely unique nutrition, so it makes sense to want to harness the goodness in as many of these amazing miracles as we can!
One simple way to make sure we are getting the full spectrum of nutrition is to check we are eating from all the colours. The colour in plants is produced by the different phytochemicals they contain, so eating from as many different colours as you can, maximises your chances of getting the widest spectrum of nutrition.
