How to Make Delicious Homemade Lemonade – The Healthy Way!

This homemade Lemonade is so delicious and refreshing in hot weather. It’s quick and easy to make, taking less than a few minutes, and only needs a few simple ingredients. Plus, its super healthy! It helps you stay hydrated, with almost no calories, whilst providing the many amazing benefits of drinking lemon juice. Also it’s something the kids will love to help you drink and make!

 

So what’s so great about drinking lemon water?

 

Well, here are just some of the many benefits:

-        Detoxifying

-        Helps weight loss

-        Improves digestion

-        High in Vitamin C

-        Full of vitamins and minerals

-        Full of antioxidants

-        Great for skin

-        Boosts energy and mood

 

How to Make Homemade Healthy Lemonade

 

Ingredients:

Water

Lemon (to taste but approximately 1 lemon per cup water)

Stevia to sweeten (to taste but approximately 1/5th teaspoon per cup water)

Ice

 

Squeeze the lemons and remove any pips with a spoon. Add the lemon juice, stevia and ice to the water, and give it a good stir – Voila! Delicious healthy homemade lemonade.

Adding a few slices of lemon can make it look extra impressive. You could get even more creative and add mint leaves & slices of cucumber too, or anything else you want to try!

 

So why use stevia as the sweetener and not sugar?

 

Well, Stevia provides plenty of sweetness without the calories or unhealthy side effects of white sugar such as weight gain, diabetes, heart problems, candida, and bad skin. White sugar is actually toxic to our bodies and should be avoided. There are many sweetener alternatives but most are artificial and toxic like Aspartame found in diet sodas. Stevia however is a 100% natural, zero calorie sweetener with loads of health benefits too. It’s been shown to lower blood pressure, and prevent and reverse diabetes when combined with a healthy diet. Stevia is a green leafy plant native to South America. The leaves are simply crushed and dried. Just be careful not to add too much, its super sweet so you don’t need as much as sugar.
