Castor oil has been used for centuries and is used in many beauty, medicinal and cosmetic formulas. It can be used internally or externally and from a nutritional perspective contains a high concentration of unsaturated fatty acids, vitamin E, proteins and minerals which together make it highly beneficial.
When taken internally it can act as a relief from constipation. One teaspoon a day for 3 consecutive days is sufficient.
Externally it has so many uses! As it’s so high in fatty acids and Vitamin E it’s naturally healing and moisturising with antibacterial benefits. You can use it on sunburn, dry skin, and fungal infections on the skin. It’s great for wrinkles and fine lines as it penetrates deep into the skin and stimulates the production of collagen and elastin. It softens and hydrates dry skin and can be used as a preventative from premature aging and on the fine lines around your eyes. Apply nightly to a freshly washed face and the area you wish to treat.
Castor oil is also great for Acne as its rich in Ricinoleic acid which fights acne causing bacteria. Apply at night time to a freshly cleaned face and massage in circular motion. Keep on overnight and wash off the next day.
Castor oil also works well on fading scars, pigmentation and stretch marks. The fatty acids works deep into the layers of the epidermis and encourage new healthy tissue and supple skin. Apply regularly for best results.
It is also used for hair as a conditioner and to stimulate hair growth. Mix it with oils like sweet almond or coconut and massage into the scalp at night regularly. It can also be used on eyelashes and eyebrows to thicken and strengthen, in the same way use nightly and regularly to get results.
Castor oil is also used to relieve pain and help internal organs such as the liver, ovaries and uterus and to stop the pain of arthritis. To do this you make what is known as a castor oil pack. Soak a flannel in castor oil and ring out the excess, put it on the affected area and then cover in plastic and place a heating pad or hot water bottle over it. Leave it for one hour and then reapply heat if desired. Do this as often as possible. People have been known to reverse cysts on their ovaries using this method that would have otherwise required surgery, the heat and the castor oil dissolve and extract the problem.
Please note when using on skin it can block pores so use sparingly on the face if this occurs.
Hi, I just received the product I ordered. I will try it on my hair, eyelashes and eyebrows. I'm hoping for patience. But i like the consistency, it's thick as many people described to be a good quality castor oil. But i want to know how your castor oil is processed?
