Acai Smoothie Bowl

Do you love smoothies, but sometimes you want to sit down for breakfast and actually chew rather than sip? Well Superfood Smoothie Bowls are the hot new thing! You can use any of your favourite Superfoods for the base and then get creative with the superfood sprinkles. Not only do they taste amazing, they look delicious and give you a satisfying meal that will keep you going all day. Awesome!

For this recipe I used Acai the Brazilian berry that gives you sustained energy. Gee’s Badass Superfood Berry Bowl! Breakfast never looked so good

Ingredients

1 large ripe banana
1 cup of strawberries
1/2 cup of water or almond milk
1 large tablespoon of Acai Powder
1 scoop of Vanilla Sun Warrior Protein Powder
1/2 teaspoon of Almond Butter

Toppings

Use anything you have in the kitchen but for this recipe I used 1 tablespoon of berries, chia seeds, goji berries, pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds

Method

Blend the first set of ingredients in a blender until smooth.
Place in a bowl and then sprinkle on the toppings.

Feel free to get creative and add your favourite ingredients. You can use nuts, coconut shreds, hemp seeds, raisins, fresh mango and add some honey or cinnamon if you want even more flavour. You can also replace the Acai with Spirulina, Raw Cacao or your favourite green powder for a really healthy start to the day.
