Raw Chocolate Protein Bars

These protein bars are great ‘on the go’ snacks. They are packed with nutrition and high in protein to give you lots of energy and keep you full for hours. Great if your running around town or need something healthy and delicious when you’re at work or after the gym.

So ditch those unhealthy chocolate bars and have these on hand whenever you need a healthy satisfying bite!

Ingredients

250g Hazelnuts
250g Dates
4 tbs of Honey
3 tbs of Light Tahini
3 tbs of of Raw Cacao
2 tbs of Gluten Free Oats
2 tbs of Raw Cacao Nibs
2 scoops of Sunwarrior Protein Powder
2 tablespoons of Coconut Shreds
1 pinch of Himalayan Salt

Method

Chop the Hazelnuts in a high speed blender or chopper like a Vitamix, one thats capable of chopping nuts until roughly chopped. Take out 1/3 of the nuts and place aside.

Then add the dates, honey, tahini, raw cacao powder, salt and protein powder until it makes a sticky dough...that will taste and smell amazing!

Finally add the rest of the ingredients and the roughly chopped hazelnuts and give a quick blitz so that the ingredients are well combined but still have texture.

On a flat piece of baking parchment take a handful of the mixture and shape into bar shapes of equal size. Place in the fridge to cool and eat when firm (if you can wait that long!)

These are great on the go snacks that will keep you going for ages. If you want a green superfood version and don’t want chocolate, replace the raw cacao with spirulina and the cacao nibs with goji berries. Super healthy, super amazing and super delicious!
