Raw vegan strawberry vanilla ice cream

Making healthy ice cream is so easy and it’s seriously delicious! You don’t even need an ice cream maker, just frozen bananas, a good blender and great ingredients. This is one of my favourite recipes PLUS it’s sugar, gluten and dairy free not to mention good for you!


2 frozen bananas (ripe as possible) s
1 cup of frozen strawberries, and some fresh to decorate
1 big teaspoon of almond butter
1 big teaspoon of lucuma
1 large pinch of vanilla powder extract


Peel and slice the bananas into thin slices and place in a freezer bag.

Lay flat in the freezer with the banana slices spread out as much as possible so they freeze better and are not in one block.
Allow to freeze ideally overnight. (Make extra so you can always have ice cream when you want! )

The next day, use a high speed blender (one capable of chopping nuts) and blend the bananas and strawberries until smooth and creamy.

Then add the rest of the ingredients and blend again.

Serve in a glass or bowl andsprinkle with strawberries, nuts, coconut….. anything you like… and serve straight away.

Don’t be afraid to get creative with the recipe, always use bananas as your base and try different fruit, nuts and flavour combinations.
